Rock Star Productions provides live sound engineering services for your events
The details of planning an event can be exhausting. From the idea to the invitations, catering, lighting, beverages, permits, music... Now you have to worry about sound? When you're looking for professionalism and someone to take responsiblity for all things through the microphone, contact us. We'll spend time with you to understand the needs of your event and of the dj or band you may have hired. We'll own the plan and execute it. Let the sound needs be our worry, not yours.

The Location
Whether you're having a party in your back yard, a house concert, a corporate event, need to fill a hall or need to meet the sound requirements of an artist's technical rider, call us. We could even accomodate an artist cruise on ship! We've equipped and engineered the main stages for events and fundraisers from the size of a horse pasture or a fairgrounds to a large backyard, from a small coffeehouse to a large nightclub. We've managed sound needs and performance engineering for great artists such as Sonia & Disappear Fear, Zoe Lewis, Tret Fure, Kristin Ford, Eric Himan, Andy Moore, and Kyler England.

The Gear
We're gear hounds! We have the motto that we'll never let substandard gear impact a performance. That's why we do the research, test the products, get to know the venues we're playing, then arrive ready and prepared to meet the individual challenges of each performance or event. The Ear
With over 20 years experience in the industry, performing live and running sound for events, we've gotten to the point where we can hear a feedback sound before most people can, and then pinpoint the frequency and quickly dowse it (our friends think we're crazy!). We can judge a room or setup by looking at it, understanding where the tones will get trapped, smacked or phased. We observe an artist or performer and understand their styles, their musicianship, their personal sound requirements, and adjust to meet those needs. We've been there. We've experienced lousy sound, amazing sound, challenging engineers, and extremely talented engineers.

Ashland Miller
ashlandpromosmall Ashland continues to tour as a working musician, singer/songwriter and producer. A graduate of Appalachian State (Music Industry Studies), Ashland toured for 13 years with the acclaimed acoustic duo, CommonbonD, releasing 8 CD's and touring 48 states and several foreign territories. Now a solo performer and Rock Star partner, Ashland produces in our studio, performs live, and engineers live sound events. Renowned for her experience and scrutinizing ear, artists love see Ashland behind the mixer and cruising the stereo field at their performances. They trust her ear.

Robin Elder
bw1 A Rock Star Productions partner, Robin also produces in our studio, performs live, and engineers live sound events. Robin attended Berklee College of Music, studying live sound, ProTools, and sound engineering. Robin executive produced CD's for Rock Star artists such as Mandy Shaw, Andy Moore, Ashland, and Laura Cerulli. Sometimes annoyingly meticulous and able to hear the slightest click that shouldn't be there, Robin's attention to detail is legendary. With the belief that there's no reason the live performance shouldn't sound as fantastic as the CD, her commitment to quality sets the stage.
